Welcome to the home page of the women's team of Wanderers Rugby Union Club, NewcastleWanderers are the most successful Rugby Club in the Hunter Women's Rugby Union, having won multiple major premiership since formation in 2000. In their first year of playing in the Hunter Women's Rugby competition, they won the Major Premiership. Each year since they have played in the final series of matches. Season 2003 saw Wanderers Women take out the SNP Pre-Season Cup, Minor & Major Premierships, with an equally successful 2004 Season showing a repeat performance in regards to the pre-season cup, and an impressive Grand Final performance rewarding Wanderers as back to back Premiers. They were again premiers in 2006, and Minor Premiers and Grand Finalists in 2007. There have been two players that have represented Australia, a massive eleven players that have represented NSW Country, and the majority of the squad having represented in Newcastle and development squads.
Centrally located close to the CDB, the club offers first class training facilities, coaching and support staff to complement its fine history of running rugby. Wanderers are the benchmark in Newcastle and Hunter rugby, so if you enjoy playing or following the running game then this is the club for you. " Just Run It..."
